The Three Rivers ISD Spring band concert will be on Thursday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Activities Center.

The jazz band, 6th grade band, 7th grade band, and high school band will perform. In addition, Jacob Carvajal will perform a saxophone solo, “Rhapsody In Blue” by George Gershwin, and will be accompanied by Cindy Hessong.

The bands will play a wide variety of music that should encompass almost every taste in music, from jazz (“Route 66”) to classical (“Beethoven’s Ninth”) to TV themes (“Hawaii Five-O”) to songs from far-away lands (“The Temple Of Ka Uka”).

The high school band will also perform pieces they had performed very successfully at the Region 14 Concert & Sight-Reading Contest, receiving “2” ratings for both the concert and sight-reading portions of the contest.

There is no charge for the concert and it will last until about 8:00 p.m.
