BAM volunteers honored during awards presentation

The Beeville Art Museum is a teaching museum, dedicated to providing educational programs and activities designed to stimulate the imaginations of young people.

On Wednesday, May 13, the museum hosted its annual Docent/Volunteer Awards.

The museum’s volunteer programs include an internship program, a teen volunteer program, kid capable, adult volunteer program and a docent program.

Docent of the Year and Adult Volunteer of the Year were both awarded to Beverly Hoaglin. Top Teen of the Year was awarded to Victoria Hogue.

This year the museum had five teen volunteers who gave a combined total of 76.5 hours of service. The museum had nine adult volunteers this year who gave 74 hours of service and there were 10 docents this year who gave 83 hours of service. All volunteers and docents gave a combined total of 234 hours of service.
