The Beeville Little League capped off its regular season on Monday night with its closing ceremonies.

Teams were honored for their play this season from T-ball to Junior League squads. Trophies and accolades were dominant, but a sad note also permeated the proceedings.

Two young members of the league passed away unexpectedly last year and both were honored with plaques going to their families. Leslie Arredondo and Nick Lamb will be remembered at the Beeville Little League for years to come.

Board member Cassandra Smith announced the league’s teams and helped award the top teams in each division.

All-star squads were announced in the Minor, Major and Junior Divisions.

The Beeville Minor Division softball stars will begin play on June 29 in Ingleside against Taft. The Minor boys’ baseball Orange all-star team will begin play on June 29 at Refugio against Aransas Pass. The White squad of all-stars will begin their tournament play in Three Rivers on July 1 against South Live Oak.

Beeville’s Major softball stars will begin play June 28 in Woodsboro, meeting the team from Refugio. The Major baseball stars will play at home on July 2 against Odem.

The BLL Junior League softball stars will take the field for their first game on July 2 in Aransas Pass. No opponent was given. The Junior League baseball stars will receive their first test on June 28 in Sinton against the Rockport all-stars.
