Trbula memorial team roping set for Oct. 11

The annual Rope For Hope Steven Trbula Memorial team roping will be held Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Bee County Expo Center in Beeville.

This year’s roping is an oilman’s invitation extended to API members and anyone that makes a living in the oilfield. It is a three head progressive after one.

Entry fee is $250 per man and a roper’s pot $100 per man. There is free admission for the public to come out and watch the roping and for children to participate in the children’s dummy roping contest which will begin at 1 p.m.

Buckles will be awarded to the winner of each age group 4-6 yrs, 7-9 yrs, and l0-12 yrs. We will also have a blood mobile available from 11a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a dance at the pavilion starting at 8 p.m.-12:00 a.m. with a $5 donation fee. A silent auction and concession stand will be available.

To pre-enter for the roping, call 786-4350. All proceeds from this roping will be given to Driscoll Children’s Hospital and The Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
