George Henry Christman Jr., 82, of Normanna, died on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008.
He was born July 13, 1926, in Vidor to Katy Florine Stanton and George Henry Christman. He married Melva Brandon in Agua Dulce on June 13, 1953. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, He was employed at the Exxon-Mobil compressor station and was a member of the Wolf Hunters Association.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Melva Christman of Normanna; three daughters, Leslie Dunn of Kyle, Stacey Christman of Choate and Susan Chessher of Mathis; one son, Larry Christman of Beeville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lola Crawford of Woodville and Florine Streeper of Jasper.
Visitation is being held today (Wednesday) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held there at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Jesse Berthold officiating. Interment will follow at San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna.
Pallbearers will be Allen Dunn, Dustin Wrinkle, Dennis Brandon, Brandon Dunn, Michael Christman and Stacey Christman.

Ruben C. Flores 55, died on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.
He was born on Aug. 14, 1953, in Port Lavaca. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 1972 where he played varsity baseball. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Roseanna A. Flores of Victoria; his mother, Sofia Flores of Beeville; one son, Richard Flores of Austin; three daughters, Anngelic (Michael) Luna and Shannon Flores, both of Austin, and Leigh Ann Flores of Victoria; two sisters, Linda (Raul) Casarez and Ruby F. (Joe) Soliz, both of Beeville; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Flores; one brother, Robert Lee Flores; and one sister, Rosa F. Guevara.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Treviño Funeral Home chapel with a rosary to be recited there at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Pallbearers will be Joe Richard Soliz, Joseph Robert Soliz, Peter Guevara, Marcus Flores, David Camacho Jr., and John Leonard Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be John Michael Flores, Elias Beltran, Benny Camacho, and his motorcycle friends.
Andres G. Saenz, 81, of Beeville, died on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008.
He was born in Beeville on Nov. 6, 1926, to Feliz Garcia and Rafael Saenz. He married Elva Gomez in Beeville on June 16, 1951. He was retired from the City of Beeville as a landfield worker. He was a Catholic.
Survivors residing in Beeville include his wife, Elva Gomez Saenz; four daughters, Feliz Saenz, Nelda Saenz, Biolanda (Guillermo) Salazar and Mary Saenz; two sons, Danny (Delia) Saenz and Alverico (Ida) Saenz Sr.; and one sister, Isabel Saenz. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Federico Saenz and Fermin Saenz; two sisters, Ramona Benitez and Josephina Saenz; and one grandson, LeRoy Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Angelus Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited there at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville community with Deacon Manuel Carranco officiating.
Pallbearers will be Alverico Saenz Jr., Armando Gonzalez Jr., James Vasquez, Julio Vasquez, Joe P. Gonzales and Michael Vasquez. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Brandon Saenz, Edward Longoria, Andrew Vasquez, Luis Vasquez Jr., Bengelica Gomez, Daniel Maldonado, Joe Gomez Jr. and Jamie Lee Gonzalez.

Frankie Mae “NaNa” Eads Wilson, 82, of Three Rivers, died on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008.
She was born May 24, 1926, in St. Paul to Gracie Adams and Floyd Eads. She married Edgar Eugene “Doc” Wilson Jr. in Three Rivers on Dec. 31, 1945.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Three Rivers. She was a Sunday school teacher, a volunteer at The Outreach and the Literacy Program and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 26, 1996; her parents; and one brother, Kenneth Eads.
Survivors include four children, Patricia (Vincent) Harkins of LaPorte, Rocky (Julie) Wilson Sr. of Poteet, and Dana (Connie) Wilson and Diane Wilson, both of Three Rivers; one sister, Patsy Franklin of George West; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Galloway & Sons chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Three Rivers with Rev. Randy Samuels officiating. Music was provided by Jacky Stronleny, organist, and Patti Reagan, vocalist. Interment followed at Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Nickerson, Benjamin Fuller, Mac Wilson, Rocky Wilson Jr., Travis Williamson, Mark Brochstein and Mike Guresky. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Wilson, Ian Nickerson, Michael Guresky, Ian Wilson Guresky and Nathan Wilson.
