Mr. Rodolfo O. “Rudy” Blakely, 82, of DeSoto, died Monday, May 26, 2008, in Dallas. He was born April 18, 1926, to Arturo and Ofilia (Ortiz) Blakely in Beeville. He married Lucy Barrientez in Beeville on July 21, 1945. He was a member of the Catholic church. He was a retired truck driver having been employed with Brown Express for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lucy Barrientez Blakely of DeSoto; two daughters, Carrie (Manuel) Soliz of Friendswood and Fay Jones of Whitehouse; five sons, Rudy Blakely Jr. of Cedar Hill, Louis (Yolanda) Blakely of Arlington, Ralph Blakely of Waxahachie and Rene (Tammy) Blakely and Ray Blakely, both of DeSoto; a sister, Maurila Blakely of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Jr., Louis, Ralph, Rene, Ray and Ryan Blakely.

Martha J. (Nonie) Wright, 76, of Beeville, passed away May 24, 2008, in Fort Smith Arkansas, after a lengthy illness.
Nonie, as she was known to all those that loved her, was born March 31, 1932, in Fort Worth, TX to Darl and Audrey Perry. She attended schools in Sinton and Refugio. After graduating from Refugio High School in May 1950, she married James C. Wright of Woodsboro on October 27, 1950.
Nonie was very loving, kind and generous to all her family and friends. She was happiest working in her yard and traveling to visit children and grandchildren.
She is survived by son Alan and wife Jean of Ft. Smith, ARkansas; daughter, Jana Davis and husband Scotty of Choctaw, Oklahoma and son Larry adn wife Mary Lou of Beeville, TX. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Donal Wright of Hartshorne, OK, Melissa Langford of Muskogee, OK, Brandon Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, Holly Davis Gray of Dallas, TX, Justin Wright of Santa Fe, TX, Aaron Wright of Austin, TX, Keaton Wright of San Antonio, TX and Kyle, Kelsey and Kolton Wright of Beeville, TX, nine great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Etty Hunt of Austin, TX, Jouce Riehs of Victoria, TX and Virginia Schubert of Woodsboro, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James (Jim) Wright, and brothers, R.D. Perry and Ed Perry. Pallbearers will be Justin Wright, Aaron Wright, Donald Wright, Brandon Davis, Keaton Wright and Kyle Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelsey and Kolton Wright.
A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.
