Mr. Luthringer

James Luthringer, 90, of Pettus died on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008.

He was born in Beeville on Jan. 14, 1918, to Ernest and Elizabeth Northington Luthringer. He married Inez Catherine Brown in Sinton on Feb. 23, 1939. He was a retired warehouse supervisor from Brown Express.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Inez, on Feb. 7, 2004.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean Bradford and husband James of Normanna; one son, James Luthringer Jr. and wife Pamela of San Antonio; six grandchildren, Kathy Horton, Julie Hutchings, Elizabeth Luthringer, Jay Bradford, Jimmy Luthringer and Samantha Luthringer; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Galloway & Sons chapel followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Duke officiating. Interment followed at San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna.

Pallbearers were members of the Beeville Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Sosa

Dominga A. Sosa, 82, of Beeville died on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Hacienda Oaks Nursing Home.

She was born to Jose and Mercedes Alonzo Perez on Sept. 27, 1925, in Beeville. She was a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel Sosa of Beeville; one sister, Emma Alonzo of Beeville; and three brothers, Jose, Cirildo and Refugio Alonzo, all of Alvin.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Interment followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers were Rudy, Jaime, Ruben, Rene and Alfredo Bernal and Cirildo Alonzo.
