Mr. Bishop

Edsel M. Bishop, 83, of Crestview, Fla., died on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007.

He was born June 23, 1924, in Milligan, Fla. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 697 in Kerrville and was a 33rd degree Mason, a York Rite, and a member of the Alzafar Shrine Temple, all in San Antonio. He retired from the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Ella Bishop; two brothers, Clifford and Frank Bishop; one sister, Louise Bishop; and one daughter, Leah Richelle Smith.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Sandra Pieper Bishop of Beeville; two sons, Marshall Bishop and wife Sunny of Gilmanton, N.H. and John Bishop and wife Vicki of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Lana Garner and husband John of Kingsland, Ga., Donna L. Gibson of Beeville, and Kim Davis of Crestview, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Masonic Lodge in Kerrville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 370 West Redstone Ave., Crestview, FL 32536.

Arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.

Mr. Lemon

Sylvester Ramon Lemon, 69, of Beeville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007.

He was born Nov. 25, 1938, in Beeville to the late Lupe Lemon and Mercedes Rojas Lemon. He married Mary Gamez. He was a mason and a catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Faustino Armijo, and sister, Juliana Rodriguez.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Gamez Lemon; two sons, Raymond G. Lemon and Richard G. Lemon, both of Beeville; two sisters, Delia Camargo and Mercedes Gamez, both of Beeville; one brother, Freddy Armijo of Lubbock; three grandchildren.

Pallbears are Faustino Armijo Jr., Bobby Armijo, Joe Gomez, Antonio Gomez, Roy Gomez, and Freddy Gomez.

A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral will be held today, Saturday, at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Eddie Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
