Clara Blinka, 90, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Arlington.
Clara was born November 11, 1917 in Bee County to Herman and Dora Rabe, growing up in Tuleta. On September 6, 1936 she married Jerome V. Blinka.
They lived in South Texas until moving from Hondo to Azle in 1962, where they owned their grocery store. She worked for various drug chains for 30
years, including Windrow's Pharmacy in Hondo, retiring as a cosmetic supervisor from Revco Drug Company in 1979.
Clara loved sewing and cooking. She was a lifetime member of the First Methodist Church. Clara was a 50 year member of the Hondo Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, and by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Brucks and husband, Edward of Grand Prairie; granddaughter, Jerri Jeske and husband, Richard of Arlington; grandson, Russ Brucks and wife, Dawn of Burleson; three great-grandchildren, Brent Jeske, Jamie Jeske and Maitlyn Brucks; brother, Carl E. Rabe of San
Antonio; several loving nieces, nephews and good friends.
Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at First Methodist Church of Azle. Interment was held at Hondo Cemetery-Oakwood Section. A Second Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wed. at First Methodist Church in Hondo.

Scott Randal Clark, 56, of Beeville died on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008.
He was born May 3, 1952, to Wade D. and Lois L. (Melgreen) Clark in Manhattan, Kan. He married Sandra Jones on March 23, 1973, in Beeville. He was a member of First Christian Church and retired as maintenance supervisor with the Bee County Coliseum.
He served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting, was a two-time cancer survivor, helped coordinate Relay For Life and was a past deacon of First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Nathan Randal Scott Clark; and a sister, Sandra Clark Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Clark of Beeville; his mother, Lois (Melgreen) Smith of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Nickelle Clark (Rene) Gonzales of Beeville; two grandchildren, Nickaylen Arteaga and Nathan Scott Gonzales; two sisters, Sherrill Pore of Wichita, Kan., and Sue Medders of Kansas; and brother, Steve Clark of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held tomorrow (Thursday) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. Geraldine Huckman officiating. Special selection will include “Daddy’s Hands.”
Pallbearers will be Wade Newsom, Randy Newsom, Rene Gonzales, Jose Aliseda, Jacob Holiday, Larry Adams, Clayton Boshmay and Mike Juranek.
Burial will follow in the Beeville Memorial Park.

Mr. Cox
Drexel M. Cox, 91, of Edna, died on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.
He was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Mineola to Ora Mae Norrell and Amos Cox. He married Helen Rae Ferguson in May 1951 at the First Christian Church in Pettus. He was retired from Mills Bennett Estate Oil Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Cox; two sisters, Evelyn DeCoux and Nell McDonald; and two brothers, Chester Cox and Harris E. Cox.
Survivors include two sons, Drexel Cox of Goliad and Emery Lee (Kathy) Cox of Edna; one sister, Billie Jean Borden of Woodsboro; and four grandchildren, Robert William Cox, Serita Denise Cox, Richard Kindall Johnson and James Drexel Cox.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Vernon Andrews officiating.
