Bee County deputies have arrested a 56-year-old Skidmore man on felony charges, including one of indecency with a child.

The suspect, Rolando Rene Longoria, reportedly has worked at a substitute teacher for the Skidmore-Tynan Independent School Teacher.

Deputy Capt. Dan Caddell said this week that the suspect was arrested Friday, Aug. 1, on a warrant issued by District Judge Mike Welborn, listing the charge as improper photograph without consent. The charge is a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in a state jail and a fine up to $10,000.

Deputies not only had a warrant for the arrest of Longoria, but they also had a search warrant for his Skidmore residence.

The search of the residence was led by Sgt. Investigator Steve Linam with the assistance of investigator Stephen Martin, patrol Cmdr. Karl Brune and deputies Derek Franco, Andy Poynter and Robbie Stephenson.

Caddell said the victim in the initial charge was an adult.

However, during the search of the residence deputies seized computers and a cellular phone and turned them over for analysis at the crime laboratory in Corpus Christi.

Caddell said that during the follow-up investigation, Linam found further evidence that led him to approach Justice of the Peace Joe Lyvers and obtain an arrest warrant against Longoria on a charge of indecency with a child by contact. That charge is a second degree felony punishable by up to 20 years and a fine up to $10,000.

Justice of the Peace David B. Garza has set bail at $3,000 for the improper photography charge and at $5,000 for the indecency with a child charge.
