The sheriff’s department responded to 65 of the calls; the Refugio Police Department, 36; state troopers, six; Woodsboro Marshal, five; medics, 29; animal control, five; Refugio VFD, four ; and Woodsboro VFD, three.
MySpace harassment
A Refugio woman reported on June 10, at 5:12 p.m. that she had received a harassing e-mail on MySpace from her ex.
She advised that he was not suppose to be in contact with her.
She also reported that the man had texted her son’s phone, as well.
Shoplifting
Officer Jamie O’Reilly was dispatched to Dollar General on June 9, at 4:46 p.m. to investigate a report that a 53-year-old Woodsboro woman had placed several items in her purse.
According to the report the suspect was issued a citation for shoplifting of less than $50 worth of merchandise and issued a notice that she was barred from the business.
Possession of pot
Officer Enrique Diaz initiated a traffic stop on June 9, at 2 a.m. by the Shell station.
A 35-year-old Bonham man was taken to Refugio County Jail for possession of marijuana.
Stolen bike
Officer Jamie O’Reilly was dispatched to Second Street on June 12 at 4:50 to investigate a report of a stolen bicycle.
The bicycle was orange and had rider pegs installed. It is valued at approximately $160.
Criminal mischief
On June 14, at 9 p.m. Officer Enrique Diaz was dispatched to Thomas Street in reference to a possible break in.
According to reports, a window was broken.
Indecent exposure
On June 7, at 6:04 p.m. Deputies Blake Chapman and Kolton Kendall were dispatched to Goliad exit were a suspect was reported to be driving nude.
Deputies located the suspect.
Burglary
Deputy Kolton Kendall was dispatched to Burton Street in Woodsboro on June 7, at 11:41 p.m. to investigate a residence that was burglarized.
Car crash
Medics, Refugio VFD and officers were dispatched on June 6, at 3:27 p.m. to Fannin and Hwy 183 in reference to a vehicle accident.
The injured victims were taken to Refugio Memorial Hospital.
In another accident on June 5, at 11:07 p.m. Deputy Kolton Kendall responded to a call that a pickup was in the ditch on Hwy 77.
No one was reported injured. The subject had a blow out and ran off the road.
DWI
Deputies Jacob Molina and Kolton Kendall were initiating a traffic stop on June 6, at 11:03 p.m. on FM 1360 and Steindorf Road.
A man was taken to Refugio County Jail, after he failed to pass the field sobriety test.
Verbal disturbance
Municipal officer John Pope, Deputies Kolton Kendall and Jacob Molina were dispatched on June 6, at 12:13 a.m. to Pugh Street in reference to a disturbance.
According to reports, the caller stated that her son was highly intoxicated and was having a physical fight with his father.
Medical treatment
Medics were dispatched to Swift Street on June 5, at 4:41 a.m.
The caller reported that a male subject is vomiting and needed medical assistance.
The male was taken to Refugio Memorial Hospital.
Loud music
Officer Shelly Haertig was dispatched to Mission Apartments on June 4, at 11:29 p.m. to investigate a complaint of loud music.
Officers had the resident turn the music down.
Controlled burn
Woodsboro VFD and Officer Shelly Haertig were dispatched to Boenig Road to investigate a fire which turned out to be a controlled burn.
The caller requested that the fire be put out since the smoke was overwhelming her residence.
Vehicle fire
A crew of five Woodsboro VFD worked approximately 20 minutes putting a out a vehicle fire on Kasten St. on June 3, at 10 a.m.
