The last meeting of 2008-09 Longhorn Booster Club was held Saturday, July 11, at Cathy White’s home in George West.

Old business was discussed and everyone was brought up to date on finances and past accomplishments.

New officers were unanimously elected by voting members in attendance and officers for the 2009-2010 year will be: Cathy White, president; Alice Whiltley, vice-president; Dorothy Taylor, treasurer/merchandise; Marcy Marlar, secretary

New business was discussed on how to encourage new membership and how to increase parental involvement.

Scholarship requirements for senior athletes will be the same as in the 2008-2009 year, which are:

•Senior parents or designated person/s are required to attend 50% of booster club meetings

•Senior parents or designated person/s are required to volunteer 20 or more hours at booster club sponsored events.

Booster club members also voted to assume responsibility for payment of football game video taping.

Blue and white night will be in August to be announced at a later date.

Meetings will be held the first and third Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Check school marquee for location and any changes.
