Clinging to his guns

In Barack Obama’s world, the only guns you’ll be allowed to own will be single-shot rifles and you’ll have to navigate your way through a mountain of government red tape, with federal bureaucrats keeping close tabs on your firearm purchases in a massive government computer database every step of the way.

If Barack Hussein Obama wins the White House and gun-huters gain even more power in the U.S. House and Senate, we could see this sweeping gun-ban agenda on the front burners in Congress as early as January of next year.

He wants to ban all semi-automatic firearms, as well as limit your firearm purchases to one gun a month -- a proposal that can only be enforced through registration.

As a state senator in Illinois, he supported a total ban on civilian ownership of handguns. He made it clear that he favors mandatory licensing of gun owners as well as gun registration.

Most gun owners still don’t know about Obama’s extremist positions on the second amendment. They don’t know that Barack Obama would outlaw most of the guns they now own — or turn law-abiding American gun owners into second-class citizens to be licensed regulated, and harassed by the federal government.

And instead of reporting the facts, the big media is giving Obama a free ride -- in the hope that gun owners won’t learn the truth about Obama until it is too late.

Support your NRA. Obama called us bitter Americans, clinging to our guns and religion.

Well I am not bitter, just mad as heck and clinging to mine.

Robert,

As you and I know the garbage you are putting out is straight out of the Republican propaganda desperate attempt to scare gunowners.Barack wanted restrictions on guns in the state of Illionios. This state is the worst in gun killings. The state is even enforcing this law to try to control gangbangers from possessing an illegal weapon.I am an avid hunter with a huge collection of guns that my husband and I have bought solely for hunting.I am not scared of Obama, what scares me is some dumbnutt will come and steal my guns and end up in another state, and be used on innocent bystanders. You and I know it is much safer to register our guns or get a permit to carry one.If you've ever been to Argentina you will know it a must to register your gun with the country before you bring one in to hunt.Quit your B.S.ing and be grateful that someone hasnt taken your guns away.I've learned those who are crowing have something to hide or don't possess any guns. I'm from Texas and why would I want to carry a concealed weapon in Illionios if it was illegal to carry one.I was a Republican for 25 years and now the lies and the behavior JohnMcCain-Palin are demonstrating is pathetic.I'm voting Democratic!!

These issues apply to the State of Illionios

Barack Obama supports restrictions on access to firearms

"As I said, I have never favored an all-out ban on handguns. What I think we can provide is common-sense approaches to the issue of illegal guns that are ending up on the streets."

Principles that Obama supports on gun issues: - Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons. - Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms. - Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.

"I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manfuacturer's lobby. But I also believe that when a gangbanger shoots indiscriminately into a crowd because he feels someone disrespected him, we have a problem of morality. Not only do ew need to punish thatman for his crime, but we need to acknowledge that there's a hole in his heart, one that government programs alone may not be able to repa

"We've got to enforce the gun laws that are on the books. We've got to ensure that unscrupulous gun dealers aren't load up vans and dumping guns in our communities, because we know they are not made in our communities. There aren't any gun manufacturers here in the middle of Detroit. But what we also have to do is make sure that we change our politics so that we care just as much about those 30-some children in Chicago that have been shot as we care about those at Virginia Tech

Obama, meanwhile, proposes several gun-control laws, including restricting purchases of weapons and ammunition at gun shows, establishing a national database that would capture and record imprints left by bullets, and making gun locks mandatory. On the issue of prohibiting citizens from carrying concealed weapons, Obama said he believes national legislation should be passed to "prevent other states' laws [allowing citizens to conceal their guns] from threatening the safety of Illinois residents."

Why are people so afarid of nothing, why do you need so many guns...what is the need of so many weapons. President Obama will do a fine job in the White House, and we can all agree that he will do a hell of better job than GW and or McCain and dumb as Pelin. So all of you gun packing good old boys (Broke Back Mountain type) man up and let move this country forward. The next President of the United States of America Barack Hussein Obama.

God Bless America
