The Bee County American Legion Post #274 was instituted on May 27, 1921, in Beeville. After 88 years of service to Bee County veterans, Becky Ochoa was installed to lead the post as the first lady post commander in Beeville. She served in the U.S. Army active and reserve duty from 1986 to 1998.
The organization recently installed the 2009-2010 officers during a dutch treat dinner held at The Lodge at Shorty’s Place.
