In two leagues this summer, the Beeville boys went 13-1 in Sinton and were 9-3 in competition at Alice.
Wrapping up the summer’s games in Alice on Wednesday evening, the Trojans defeated San Diego 13-12 in their first game of the night. The Trojans shut out Bishop 46-0 in their second contest and then topped off the evening with a 49-6 win over Banquete.
“The 7-on-7 leagues were a good way for the players to learn the new terminology and start working together as a team,” said summer coach Dan Adamez.
The team is anxious for the start of the fall football season and start of two-a-days on Aug. 3.
“As a coach this year, I noticed that our 2009 Trojan team will have a lot of overall speed. I had a blast coaching a team so dedicated to the sport,” Adamez said.
