John D. Daniels, 20, of George West, was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon. Live Oak County Sheriff Larry Busby said the counts are on two different people. Daniels was originally arrested on May 1, 2009, by George West Police officer Juan Garcia for aggravated assault bodily injury with a deadly weapon-two counts. Daniels allegedly hit one person with the shaft of a golf club and the other was struck with a baseball bat, according to the district clerk records. Upon indictment, District Judge Joel Johnson continued Daniels on a $15,000 bond.
William Jose Rocha, aka “Billy” Rocha, of Three Rivers, was indicted for theft of cattle. “This came as a result of an investigation by Emil “Sonny” Seewald, special ranger, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association,” Busby said. According to district clerk records, Rocha allegedly bought cattle at the auction barn with a “bad check,” which is a state jail felony. Upon indictment, Judge Johnson ordered a capias for his arrest with a $7,500 bond.
