Former Coastal Bend College drama instructor Alex Garza returns to the CBC stage on Thursday to present two dramas in the CBC Performing Arts Auditorium.

The first is a children’s drama of approximately 30 minutes, entitled “Las Aventuras del Senor Increible (The Adventures of Mr. Incredible),” which begins at 6:30 p.m. In this bilingual story, a superhero shares his super adventures with the kids, using stories and audience participation.

The performance is suitable for children of all ages.

The second play is “Abuelita y Los Muertos,” which will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is for a general audience.

As she prepares for El Día de los Muertos, Rosa’s special celebration goes out of control when she is visited by too many spirits from her past, all with a special message. Narrated by her grandson Alejandro, this comic and touching tale reminds Abuelita about family, tradition and the true meaning of her life.

Admission for one or both dramas is $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. Groups of 10 or more may be admitted for $1 each if they arrive in a group. Proceeds will help bring future dramas to CBC.
