Changes bring challenges and even opportunities if the entrepreneurial mind is open to them.

A new luncheon seminar, “100 Tricks to Power Your Business,” introduces innovative and successful strategies to wrestle success out of these tough times. The Bee County Chamber of Commerce will host the University of Houston Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on Thursday, Aug. 27, at noon at the Chamber office, 1705 N. St. Mary’s St. in Beeville, for this fast-paced lunch seminar.

Eileen Bonner, MBA and senior business adviser with the SBDC, will present updates on programs to benefit small businesses and different methods that have jump-started and boosted businesses, opened new market avenues and improved profitability. A new SBA business assessment tool will be highlighted. Both existing and hopeful entrepreneurs and managers are encouraged to attend.

Lunch will be offered for $10. One does not have to be a chamber member to attend this seminar. Reservations are requested so that materials can be provided. Call the Chamber office, at 358-3267, to sign up for the Aug. 27 lunch seminar as space is limited.
