The Beeville Trojan could not overcome three turnovers against Port Lavaca Calhoun on Friday night, dropping a

30-27 game to the Sandcrabs.

Skidmore-Tynan downed Bloomington 21-14 but the Pettus Eagles fell 41-3 to Falls City.

The players DID overcome the two dropped punts to go ahead 27-17, but you can not call for a pass play on 2nd and 1 while you are in FULL control eating up the clock with a good ground attack and take a 17 yard sack. IF lavaca did stop our running game then we could have punted into the endzone and force them to go 80 yards for one of two scores they needed while fighting the clock. Instead we were forced to punt deep from our own territory and give up an easy touchdown because of that one call. As for the later fumble, well , it simply might not have even happened if we never got ourselves in trouble to begin with. I hope we have better play calling for next game because these boys work hard to win. go TROJANS.
