Seven district schools met at Veterans Memorial Park to decide who would qualify for regional competition in San Antonio next week.
The Moody Trojans won the varsity boys' competition with a low total of 39 points for their five runners.
Calhoun was second at 43 and Gregory-Portland placed third overall with a total of 63 points.
Beeville’s own Ysrael Barboza finished ninth in varsity boys to qualify for the regional meet on Nov. 3.
The varsity girl’s team title went to the Lady Wildcats from Gregory-Portland with a low-point total of 32. Calhoun was again second at 55 points and Moody placed third.
