“We saw some very good teams this weekend and hopefully we’ve gained a lot of experience from the tournament,” said JHS head coach Larry Lollar.
The Beeville ladies were in a tough four-team pool on Friday. The Lady Trojans lost matches to San Antonio McCollum, Brandeis and to Lytle.
Bracket play on Saturday started with a loss to Stockdale in two straight, 25-10 and 25-14.
That put the Beeville varsity in the consolation side of the Saturday bracket. A win over San Antonio Memorial (25-17 and 25-16) placed the Lady Trojans in the consolation finals against Fox Tech from San Antonio.
Beeville dominated the Lady Buffs 25-17 and 25-15 to claim the bracket’s consolation title.
