In regards to Mr. Davis’s letter to the editor (Aug. 26), “Panty Line Procesecution”, I just have to say, his letter made my day!
I love that man’s humor, and thank you, The Progress, for printing it. I hope Ms. Orr did not take offense, because I’m sure there was no malice intended. That man is just one funny guy, and I hope he keeps on writing.
With this drought, high prices, etc..., going on, we can sure use the comic relief! And Heaven help Ms. Orr if she does decide to ever tackle the dreaded bra issue!

He comes from an age that thinks panty lines are extremely sexy and that ill fitting thongs are gross and in fact he says some women may not realize what vision they now have created...its not vulgar but I won't say.
I will say when I first started in business there was a book for dressing professional...it did address the fact that a woman should not show panty lines or ill fitting panty hose. And all shoes should match the dress line or be darker.
My employer used that book to analyze whether not the men and women dressed professional. It was addressed in your reviews.
As for bras --no strap could ever show, no peekaboos, no overhang, no wild colors throw an opaque blouse---really no opaque blouse.
Don't remember who wrote that book, but heard it or saw it referred to about a year ago when someone wanted to know how to dress professionally-given we have gotten so casual in most work places. That person had landed a job with a law office or such.
I do know flip flops, tatoos, nose rings and other piercings were totally out. I even worked for employers who would not hire you if you had such visible items.
But the panty lines --yes monitoring compliance would be a hoot. A woman is usually very sensitive about her posterior and it's view good or bad...can't blame someone for not wanting that job at all.
