In an effort to help more students complete high school and reduce the dropout rates, teachers and administrators have gone to students’ houses this month to attempt to recruit more students to return to AC Jones High School.

The number they have convinced to return is in the double digits and growing. These students and their parents are excited that the school district wants them to return and will work with them to help them graduate with a high school diploma.

Interim Principal Jaime Rodriguez said, “It is important that we develop the culture in the school that all students are welcome and wanted and that we will do all we can to help them graduate.”
