A Three Rivers man reported that, as he was checking his mail, he noticed that it looked like someone had tampered with the ceiling and they might be in the Post Office.
A George West man called to report an abandoned car on his property. He wanted the Sheriff’s office to call a wrecker company to have it taken off of his property. He was advised that we could not do that but we could give him numbers to a wrecker company. He called back and advised that he could not get in touch with of any wrecker companies; he would take care of the problem himself - he would get a chain and tow it to the highway. Then it would be the county’s problem.
Male caller states he wants to report a burglary from his residence. He told a girl staying with him to be out by tomorrow. Then he left and went to town. When he came back, he noticed his vehicle was gone - along with a gun, video camera, Wii game console and games and some fishing poles. He knew who took them and that she did not have his permission to leave in his vehicle.
An employee of an interstate convenience store advised he had a $20 counterfeit bill. He would like an officer to come take a report.
EMS employees called stating they needed an officer to come to the fire station as they had a combative patient. Someone had knocked on the door at the fire station. When they answered, he told them he was having an anxiety attack and was having trouble breathing. As they tried to help him calm down, he became combative and they called for an officer.
A man from Tilden advised that he was coming from Freer and, at the intersection of CR 624 and Hwy. 16, about 5 miles to the right there were a lot of buzzards that are just hanging around. The caller said there were a lot of them; just very unusual.
A white mini van was being driven by a female with another female riding on top of the roof while vehicle is in motion.
A female caller stated she is travelling to Corpus Christi on IH-37. She thought she saw a body under a red blanket in the median. She had been too scared to go back and check because, if it was a dead body, she wouldn’t know what to do.
A man advised that he was going hunting near Dinero. They needed to turn around so they went up into someone’s drive way and it was “booby trapped” with some kind of plank with nails on it. They “sabotaged” his vehicle as now he has two flat tires. What if they had it rigged to shoot bullets? Would there be nothing done?
A Three Rivers woman wanted to know what deputy was on duty. She had a court order to pick up a mare and colt and wanted a deputy to go with her. When informed which deputy was on duty, she advised don’t send him. She called back asking for one of two other deputies to call her. The dispatcher advised her that neither of them were on duty; the only deputy on duty was the one she had rejected earlier. She hung up; then called back approximately five minutes later and requested that the deputy call her as she wanted him to go with her to get the horses.
A Three Rivers woman requested an officer to come to her residence because her 14-year old daughter had run away. The caller advised the last time she saw her was at 3 a.m. The daughter told her she needed some fresh air and went outside. When the mother went out to check on her, she was gone. The responding TRPD officer advised that he had spoken to one of the run-a-ways by phone. She said they were in Corpus Christi, headed to the valley. Later, he reported that he had found the girls in San Antonio.
An Oakville man advised that he owns property near the lake. He had two gas cans full of gas there yesterday and now they were gone. His neighbor had a bunch of fishing equipment missing. He requested that an officer contact him at his work.
