In addition to arrests, the sheriff’s office received 156 complaints for the week of June 16-22.
A George West caller advised that a pipe wrench had been stolen from him. He had found it in a pawn shop the previous day and bought it back. He wanted an officer to come to his shop and file a report for theft.
A county commissioner advised that he caught some male subjects throwing out some shingles on a county road. He had the subjects stopped and was requesting an officer. The vehicle involved was towed by a wrecker service.
A George West female advised that it “looked like animal bodies under a bridge.” She requested that an officer check it out.
A Three Rivers female reported that someone had thrown a rock at her house or something; her kitchen window was broken.
A George West man advised that someone had tried to break into his house and had hit him in the head. He was able to identify his attacker.
A George West caller stated he was at a gas plant where a contractor had just been bitten by a large rattlesnake on his right lower leg. An ambulance was needed as soon as possible. He didn’t see any blood.
A male caller from Mathis reported a burglary. He had left his house unlocked and someone had stolen a couple of his guns and some knives.
A George West caller advised that she and her boyfriend had gotten into a fight the night before. He choked her and then flushed her pills. The woman was requesting a report so she could get the prescriptions refilled but did not want her ex-boyfriend to get in trouble.
A caller from the southeast of the county advised that there had been some illegal dumping going on at his place for some time now. The caller stated that he had gone through the trash and that he found bank statements and other items with names on it. He wanted to talk to a deputy to see what he could do.
The boyfriend of a traveler on IH-37 started shaking; then his eyes rolled back and he started foaming at the mouth. He was unconscious as the caller, confused as to where she was, called for assistance. Then the male subject came to and wanted caller to leave and not wait for EMS or officers.
A caller wanted to know the location of the nearest hospital from Three Rivers because they had a subject in their vehicle who was in an ATV accident. They didn’t want an ambulance; would take their personal vehicle. When asked questions, the caller couldn’t give location of accident and when asked for the age and condition of patient, the caller hung up. EMS responded and transported victim to hospital.
A Three Rivers female reported that a lady and her three babies were walking on Hwy. 72. It just looked “kinda weird.”
A caller advised that her son has a house at the back end of her property that he doesn’t live in right now but is preparing it so he can move in. Today he went down there and there was an air conditioner missing from one window and a piece of plywood was put in its place. At another window, there was an air conditioner that didn’t work and it’s been replaced with an air conditioner that does work. Caller states that it is too late tonight; she will call back in the morning when she gets up and around for an officer to go make a break in report.
A neighbor called in for a complainant near the lake that a male subject with gray hair and no shirt was driving a motorcycle by her residence, bothering her.
A few minutes later, another caller advised that a gray headed man on a dirt bike with no shirt had cut across his property where his kids were running around. The man was drunk and driving around with a beer can in his hand. When he told the man to get off of his property, the man told him, “I will see you later, #$%! I will be back!”
A caller advised he was at a roping at the Tilden rodeo arena a few weeks ago. A man was sitting in his truck but he didn’t think anything about it until he found that a pair of kelly spurs worth about $1,600, given to him by his grandfather, were missing. He contacted the acquaintance and asked if he had taken the spurs. The fellow admitted that he had borrowed them. The caller informed the man that he did not have permission to take the spurs and he wanted them back.
Aaron Adrian Garza, 20, of Alice, aka Adrian Pumba Garza was arrested on June 15 for discharge of firearm from public road for which Ellis set fine of $383.50; hunting deer in closed season with fine of $383.50; hunt from public road with fine of $383.50; hunt w/o license with fine of $253.50; hunt and kill white tail deer w/rim fire rifle. He was released for time served, following jail commitment on all counts.
Amanda Gonzalez, 24, of McAllen was arrested on June 19 for driving while intoxicated w/child under 15. Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Jim Lane set bond at $4,000.
Michael Shane Davis, 28, of Orange Grove was arrested on June12 for criminal mischief GT= $1,500 LT $20K Disposition was three days in jail; he was released for time served per Judge Welborn.
Osvaldo Trevino Cantu, 32, of Penitas was arrested on a warrant for bail jumping and FTA. Rayes set bond at $6,000. His release was authorized by Co. Judge A. Garcia.
Roderick Reyna, 31, of Grand Prairie was arrested on possession of a controlled substance < 1g. He was transported to Sinton.
Brian LeBlanc, 34, of George West was arrested on June 11 for criminal non support. He was released per Attorney General.
Billy Joe Perez, 24, of Three Rivers was arrested on June 6 on a warrant for probation violation credit card.
