The Ray Texans proved to be too much for the Trojans as they took all the doubles and singles matches. The match was called at 13-0 after it began to rain.
The Trojans’ next district match was at home on Tuesday against the Port Lavaca Sandcrabs.

No. 6 – Eric Davis (Ray) and Marcos Ulloa match called because of rain. Ray took the first set, 6-3, as was leading in the second 3-0 before match was called.
Girls singles
No. 1 – Bianca Flores (Ray) defeated Heather Gonzales, 6-1, 6-1
No. 2 – Jordan Comstock (Ray) was leading Ellen Addison, 6-0, 5-2, before match was called due to rain
No. 3 – Tara Comstock (Ray) defeated Kayla Keys, 6-2, 6-2
No. 4 – Casandra Kline (Ray) was leading Megan Burris 4-2 before match was called due to rain.
No. 5 – Nicole Olvera (Ray) was leading Leslie Alaniz 5-3 before match was called due to rain.
No. 6 – Sarah Benkendorfer (Ray) was leading Lindsey Roberson 6-2 before match was called due to rain.
The loss leaves the Trojan tennis team at 1-2 in district. G-P leads the district race at 3-0 with Ray at 2-1 along with Rockport-Fulton and Moody. Port Lavaca is at 1-2 and Miller stands at 0-3.
The Trojans will travel to Gregory-Portland this Saturday to challenge the Wildcats.
