High-energy country/rock—that’s the kind of show Mark McKinney will bring to the stage at this year’s Storyfest Street Dance on Saturday, Nov. 7.

A Big Spring, Texas native, McKinney grew up listening to country legends like Willie Nelson and Charlie Daniels but was heavily influenced by rock and pop, making McKinney’s music a unique blend of influences.

The title track from McKinney’s latest album Middle America, has received substantial radio airplay and has been played on NASCAR telecasts on ESPN and ABC, along with another McKinney single, “Stompin’ Ground.” The video for “Middle America” has aired on CMT and can be seen at: www.cmt.com as well as: www.markmckinney.com.

Opening for McKinney is Austin-based singer-songwriter Steven Franks. This talented young performer’s shows are fresh with passion and inspiration down to the last chord. Stevens has shared the stage with Mark McKinney at other venues, and has also appeared with Wade Bowen, Cory Morrow, Brandon Rhyder, and Grammy-winner Rick Trevino.

Make plans to attend the 21st annual George West Storyfest on Saturday, Nov. 7. Street Dance tickets are $10 at the gate. For more information, visit: www.georgeweststoryfest.org”
