Winners of this year’s StoryFest Little Red Wagon Decorating contest were announced during the Liar’s Contest at Saturday’s event.

The wagon entries began their day rumbling around the Live Oak County courthouse square led by the Mighty Longhorn band under the direction of Dr. Jim Williamson. After an enthusiastic reception from the StoryFest attendees, the wagons were circled up in a display area near the courthouse steps where they were ranked by a panel of independent judges.

This years winners of the one of a kind StoryFest Trophies are:

Youth: First place - Alvin Guerrero III

Second Place - George West Junior High - FCCLA - Janis Yuhas sponsor

Adult: First place - Brush Country Cattlewomen

Second place - George West High School Physic Club - Judy Hudek sponsor

Third place - Betty McQueen

Commercial: First place - Buc Days - Buccaneer Commission - Corpus Christi, TX

Second place - Zue’s Floral & Gifts - Zue Prosaec - George West, TX

Third place - Treat Your Shelf Bookstore & Candy Bar - Betty McQueen, George West, TX.
