Mrs. Dora A. Gonzales, 84, of Skidmore died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in a Corpus Christi hospital following a short illness.

Mrs. Gonzales was born in Beeville on Aug. 20, 1925, to Mariano and Refugia (Morales) Almendarez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edelmiro Gonzales; and a son, George Gonzales.

Survivors include one daughter, Esther (Jesse S.) Perez of Beeville; two sons, Indalecio “Andy” Gonzales and Edelmiro “Edmund” (Alicia) Gonzales, both of Skidmore; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Porfirio (Emilia) Almendarez of Houston and Aurelio Almendarez and Martin Almendarez, both of Skidmore; and one sister, Soila (Mardonio) DelBosque of Houston.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited there Sunday evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Skidmore. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Gonzales, Edward Perez, Manuel Del Bosque, Eloy Almendarez, Mando Alexx Almendarez and Andrew Del Bosque.
