Lots of pickups and horse trailers rolled into Brush Country Cowboy Church on Sunday, Nov. 15th. Contestants and their families joined others at BCCC to hear a great message from Pat Traxler, pastor of BCCC. They also enjoyed really good toe-tapping gospel music played and sung by the Brush Country Cowboy Church Band.

By attending the church service, contestants were able to enter the playday.  And what a colorful and exciting playday it was!  Cowboys and cowgirls, horses, music, good food from the BCCC Chuck Wagon Team, friends and family, and lots of fun were all a part of this first playday event held at Brush Country Cowboy Church.  The arena was filled with contestants from two years of age to adults of all ages. 

From the opening flag ceremony, singing of the National Anthem, and prayer by Pat Traxler to the presentation of  buckles and prizes at the end of the day, the energy and excitement never ceased. 

Gist Silversmith Trophy Buckles were given for first place, beautiful leather headstalls for second place, colorful bronc halters for third place, leather over & under whips for fourth place, leather hole punches for fifth place, and large feed buckets with horse wormer for sixth place.

Hennig, 4th Place – Mary Grace Bluntzer, 5th Place – Cheyenne Chesser, 6th Place – Hanah Hartman.  Juniors 11-14: 1st Place Buckle Winner – Samantha White, 2nd Place – Tristin Elsworth, 3rd Place – Lacie Beall, 4th Place – Anaya Soliz, 5th Place – Maria Johnston, 6th Place – Melissa Garcia.  Seniors 15-18: 1st Place Buckle Winner – Amanda Bader, 2nd Place – Karley Blevins, 3rd Place – Andrea Gonzales, 4th Place – Morgan Holder. Brush Country Cowboy Church has services at 10 a.m. each Sunday.  Everyone is welcome.
