He was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Beeville to the late William Edward and Velma Malone Williams. He was retired from the United States Army, serving in Korea as a staff sergeant and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Colene Shore Williams; five sons, Turner E. (Christine) Williams Jr. of Hay Market, Va., Charles D. (Lisa) Williams of Statesville, Darryl G. (Lynn) Williams of York, S.C., Eddie (Joy) McDaniel of Salisbury and Terry (Linda) McDaniel of Mocksville; three daughters, Linda Burnell and Ramona Pointer, both of Edgewater, Fla. and Chardise (Robert) Honeycutt of Salisbury; two brothers, James Williams and Dean Williams of Texas; two sisters, Wilma Lee Williams and Faye Williams of Texas; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildre.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Dallas Bennett officiated.
