“It was probably our best game of the year. We played real relaxed and just had a good time,” said Lady Eagle varsity coach Darcy Siddon.
The varsity girls all scored against their older counterparts with Shanon Mendez and Chloe Garza leading the way with 10 points apiece. Hannah Huskey hit for seven as did Lindsay Parker. Simona Ramirez. Mari Carrizales and Savannah Del Bosque each scored four points in the varsity win. Kelsey Brown made two points as did Ryan Grayson and Ashley Duran. Amanda Montez sank one free throw.
The alumni leaders were Veronica Clagg with 10 points. Dee Solis and Amy Arrisola each had seven in the fun, competitive and high-spirited tilt.
“It was great to see the number of alumni players that came out. Hopefully, we can continue this on an annual basis in the future,” Siddon said.
The Lady Eagles played on Tuesday night against the visiting Austwell-Tivoli Lady Redfish and will then meet Runge on Wednesday afternoon at the AT&T Center in San Antonio before taking a break for the holidays.
