On Thursday, Jan. 7, my husband saw a rather tame tiny bird while at the Vineyard at 210 N. Monroe St. It was sitting on his pickup side mirror, and he came within a foot of it.
He came home telling me about it and I just figured it had escaped from someone’s cage. Then after reading the Saturday, Jan. 9, paper, we see that it was indeed a Northern Wheatear. So apparently there are more of these little birds in the area.
