Once again the ladies from the Auxiliary of Swinney Switch Inc. are to be commended for their high level of community support and service.
The Auxiliary stepped forward and became the first $500 patron level sponsor for St. Mary’s Academy Charter School’s Casino Night Mardi Gras fund raiser.
In addition to the cash donation the members are providing one of our fabulous door prizes. To top it off 14 of the members have agreed to help us decorate the Expo center this week for our big event. I have been impressed with the wonderful community service provided by the ladies for years.
I recently went by the Jarrett school house and was astonished to see the new roof on so quickly. At the Jarrett School Open House back in November my dear friend Terese Simonson told me they wanted the new roof on by spring. Afterwards I told her “honey, its still winter its only January!” Their organization doesn’t let the grass grow under their feet. With the Jarrett School House project, their partnership with St. Mary’s and their scholarship program, these ladies stay busy. Live Oak County is lucky to have such a vibrant nonprofit organization operating in our community.
Regards,
Mrs. Ross Brown, Assistant Principal St. Mary’s Academy Charter School
