A woman said that someone was inside the vacant house next door to her with flashlights. She said that it looked like they were stripping it. She described a blue car and an older model dark brown and beige pickup the vehicles were there the night before, also.
A Lagarto man reported that a man who lives down the street was offering candy to caller’s son and other children in the neighborhood. The caller advised that he looked up the man on the internet and found that he was a registered sex offender. The caller wanted to speak to an officer to find out what he should do about this.
A George West man reported that his wife had left their home earlier. When his wife returned, she noticed there were paint shavings on the floor where the back door is. It looked like someone had tried to pry the back door open. He said there was a dead bolt on that door. He had the TV on and didn’t hear anything.
A woman from just north of George West reported that this house is her ‘home away from home.’ She came home and someone was living in her house. She said there was a barbecue pit on her stove and beer in the fridge. They had cut her grass outside and they might have stolen her lawn mower. The electric bill went way up and no one lives there.
A woman reported that, right across from the entrance to her house, there was an older model pick up truck. There was an old man with a white beard in there who was trying to set up an antenna to watch his TV. The caller felt that he didn’t belong there and wanted an officer to check him out.
The manager of a George West store advised that there was a customer who stole some make up. She had a large purse and was in the store for a long time. The manager said he watched the tape and saw her take the stuff.
A DPS narcotics officer asked for GWPD’s telephone number as he was requesting the K-9 unit at the northbound weigh station. The call turned out to be a drug seizure with approximately 600 pounds of marijuana found. An arrest was made.
A Lagarto man advised he needed a sheriff to come to his place because there were some people disrespecting him at his own house.
A woman advised that someone had driven by her neighbor’s house and shot her neighbor’s car. When questioned, the victim stated that her ex-boyfriend had driven by and shot her vehicle. She said there were six bullet holes in her vehicle; the male subject has done this before. The Jim Wells County Sheriff’s office was advised to be on the lookout for the male subject driving a pickup with no tailgate.
A George West woman stated her brother was being very loud and obnoxious and was high on ‘weed.’ She wanted him to leave her house but he wouldn’t leave. She wanted an officer to come make him leave.
A man west of Three Rivers reported a loose dog in the neighborhood that was getting in his backyard and killing his chickens. This happened about two weeks ago. He went down and talked to the neighbor and hasn’t had a problem with the dog since then. Now another dog has been doing the same thing but he doesn’t know whose dog it is. Just wanted to let the Sheriff’s office know if it continues, he will shoot the dog when it comes back on his property, to protect his chickens.
A woman found a small child approximately three years old walking down the street in front of the high school in George West. He was following his dog Spike.
A woman traveling on the interstate reported there was an SUV type vehicle parked on side of road. There was a man lying on the ground, flopping around. EMS was paged but the man was not located.
A George West man advised he had witnessed a street fight. He said the parties were no longer fighting. They had been throwing rocks and sticks at each other. He saw three vehicles left the scene and three subjects were walking on the street towards Hwy. 281.
A deputy advised that the cashier at a store at IH37 and Hwy. 59 advised there was suspicious activity in the parking lot. There was an 18-wheeler parked in the parking lot and a pickup with a flatbed trailer backed up to the truck. Subjects were unloading a huge pallet of clothes onto the flatbed trailer.
A bus driver reported that he had some subjects that were drinking alcohol on the bus. He would be stopping at a store in three rivers and wanted to meet an officer there to have them taken off the bus. An arrest was made.
A Three Rivers woman said that she had just got home. She found that someone had shot her dog in the backyard.
A convenience store clerk reported that a man in a maroon and gray pickup had been asking for money. When they refused to give it to him, he told them if he had a gun, he would shoot them. An arrest was made.
Sergio Cuellar, 51, of Brownsville was arrested on Feb. 21 for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information. Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Virginia Tanguma set bond at $10,000. He was released on Feb. 26, after posting bond.
Linda Jay, 61, of Sandia was arrested on Feb. 24 for assault causes bodily injury/family violence. Tanguma set bond at $2,500. She was released the next day.
David Lee Trevino, 20, of Granbury was arrested on Feb. 25 for #1-possession of marijuana, greater than 4 oz., less than or equal to 5 lbs. Tanguma set bond at $10,000; #2-prohibited subject at a correctional facility - alcohol/drug/phone/tobacco. Tanguma set bond at $20,000. He was released on the next day, after posting bond.
Gage Lee Ross Jenkins, 20, of Granbury was arrested on Feb. 25 for possession of marijuana, greater than 4 oz., less than or equal to 5 lbs. Bond was set at $10,000. He was released on Feb. 28, after posting bond.
Mike Anthony Flores, 31, of Corpus Christi was arrested on Feb. 26 for driving while intoxicated/open alcohol container, 3rd offense or more. Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Jim Lane set bond at $5,000. He was released on Feb. 27.
Clara Marie Villanueva, 20, of Kenedy was arrested on Feb. 27 for possession of marijuana, less than 2 oz. Lane set bond at $1,000. She was released on Feb. 27.
Miguel Jimenez, 32, of Brownsville was arrested on June 28 on a parole warrant from Duval Co. He was released to Duval Co. on Feb. 26.
Patrick Earl Semple, 29, of Midland was arrested on Feb. 24 for aggravated assault on a warrant from Midland. He was released to Midland Sheriff’s office on Feb. 27.
