Theodore M. Garcia, 69, of Alice died Saturday, March 27, 2010, in an Alice Nursing Home.

Mr. Garcia was a retired welder and rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon G. and Elida M. Garcia; and one brother, Simon Garcia Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Theodore B. (Sherly) Garcia of Alice, Mark G. (Anna) Garcia of Beeville and Matthew (Alma) Garcia of San Antonio; four daughters, Yvette Garcia, Michelle (Kevin) Reese and Theresa (Brian) Plemmons, all of Corpus Christi, and Christina (Joseph) Wilson of Orange Grove; three sisters, Barbara Freudden of Long Island, N.Y., Alma Powell of Texas City and Lillie Ann (Luciano) Castro of Laredo; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice with a rosary to be recited there at 7 o’clock that evening.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St Joseph Catholic Church in Alice. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery in Alice.
