Tomiko (Kawamura) Kennedy, 90, formerly of Woodsboro, went to the Lord on April 24, 2010. Known by her students as Mrs. Kennedy or by her children as Mamoo, she touched thousands of lives and shared many lessons in the classroom and life. She loved children, nature, and laughing.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William (Bill) Kennedy, and her children, Steven Kennedy(Analisa) of Goliad, Sherri Davis (Rick) of Corpus Christi, Bonnie Brown (Ronald) of Coleman, David Patton (Sandy) of Portland, Judi Hess (Merlin) of Corpus Christi, Kevyn Kennedy (Chien-Yi) of Shanghai, China, and Michael Kennedy (Kristen) of Friendswood. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and her sisters, Yuriko Tanamachi of Sun City West, Arizona, and Natsuko Sasaki of Austin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday, April 27 at 11:00 am at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598. She will be innerred at Arlington National cemetery, Washington, D.C. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to: Buckner Children’s Home, 5200 E. Buckner Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75227-2099
