She was born on Oct. 19, 1927, in Lindsey, Okla., to Henry and Beulah (Raney) Sanders. She married William Boyd Newberry on Oct. 19, 1949, in Laredo. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Beulah Sanders; her husband, William Boyd Newberry on April 11, 1983; and a sister, Elsie Haney.
Survivors include three nieces, Elsie Jane White and Faye Gustafson, both of Lufkin, and Louise McCarty of Chandler; and a brother, Leonard Sanders of Alameda, Calif.
A graveside service was held at 9 o’clock Wednesday at Glenwood Cemetery.
