Mr. Adamez was born on Nov. 10, 1938, in the Clareville community and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. James Catholic Church. He worked for Hunt Auto Motors, Young Auto and American General Life and Accident Insurance Company. He enjoyed all sports and was involved with the youth of Beeville for many years. He always enjoyed helping young athletes and coached them in different sports.
Mr. Adamez was preceded in death by his father, Cristobal Adamez; and a son, Cristobal Ubaldo Adamez.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Saenz Adamez; two sons, Ubaldo “Bebe” (Leticia) Adamez and Daniel (Erica) Adamez, all of Beeville; one daughter, Sandra (Epimenio III) Campos of Beeville; his mother, Elena Zambrano; one brother, Baldemar (Ester) Garcia; three sisters; Ofelia (Joe Ray) Loya, Viola Lopez and Janie Rodriguez, all of Beeville; 13 grandchildren, Eric, Mark, Carlos, Amanda, Nichole, CJ, Adrian, Danyelle and DJ Adamez, Geana Miranda, Epi IV, Alfonso and Ricky Campos.
Visitation was held from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Treviño Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 o’clock that evening, with Rev. Salvador Rincon officiating. Visitation continued on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 o’clock that evening at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Eduardo Garcia officiating. Burial followed in the San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville community.
Pallbearers were Eric, Mark, Carlos and CJ Adamez and Epi and Alfonso Campos.
Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Campos and Adrian and DJ Adamez.
