The Lady Trojan softball season ended at the bi-district level of the playoffs this year and several Beeville players were acknowledged for their fine seasons by the district coaches with positions on the All-District 30-4A teams.

J.J. Hernandez earned a first team spot as a utility player. Hernandez played a few different positions for head coach Edward Bocanegra this year. The outfielder/third baseman also could be counted on at the plate. She used her speed to her team’s advantage on offense and defense.

Hernandez also was recognized by the Caller-Times as she earned honorable mention status on the All-South Texas softball team.

Second team all-district Lady Trojans included pitcher Sera Quiroga, catcher Audrey Barientes, shortstop April De Los Santos and outfielder Destiny Herrera.

Earning honorable mention status from the district’s coaches were Lady Trojans Anyssa Barbosa, Courtney Perez and Kat Villarreal.
