Hilda M. Roberts of George West, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the age of 100. She was born March 16, 1910 in Hallettsville, TX., to William Hector and Mary P. (Whorton) Bull. Hilda married Joseph D. "Jake" Roberts on November 5, 1926 in Beeville, TX.. She was a homemaker and worked out of her home as a seamstress for over 20 years. Hilda was a member of the First United Methodist Church of George West, Tx.. Preceeding her in death are her parents, husband, son-in-law Harold Brand and 2 grandchildren, Larry Wade Brand and William Carter Dever, Jr. and 2 brothers.

Hilda is survived by her two loving daughters, Jean Brand of George West, TX., and Carol (Bill) Dever of Dallas, TX., 5 grandchildren, Kenny (Debbie) Brand of Houston, TX., Mark (Diane) Brand of Sugar Land, TX., Danny (Elizabeth) Dever of Scottsdale, AZ., Kristi (Chase) Perry of Dallas, TX. and Joey (Cheri) Brand of George West, TX.,; 12 great grandchildren, Jeff (Julie) Brand of Coppell, TX., Ashley (Tres) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, TX., Robert Brand of Afghanistan, Sarah (Blake) Copeland of George West, TX., Amanda Brand of Austin, TX., Katie Brand of Houston, TX., Blake and Landry Brand of George West, TX., Madison and Allison Dever of Scottsdale, AZ. and Abbey and Carter Perry of Dallas, TX.; 3 great great grandchildren, Madison Copeland of George West, TX., Conner Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, TX. and Molly Brand of Coppell, TX..

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of George West at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Doug Hinchcliff officiating, organist, Nancy McKinney and soloist, Vicki Riser with songs selected "How Great Thou Art" "In The Garden" "The Old Rugged Cross". Interment will follow at the George West Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Kenny Brand, Mark Brand, Joey Brand, Danny Dever, Chase Perry, Jeff Brand, Tres Gonzalez and Blake Copeland. Honorary pallbearer is Robert Brand.

The family would like to express a special thank you to her caregivers; Faye, Richard, Pam, JoAnn, Mary, Rosa, Dolores, Margie, Alma, Fannie, Kayla, Mona and the staff at the Live Oak Nursing Home and Exclusive Hospice and Chaplain Don Taylor.
