Julia G. Flores, 93, passed away on October 22, 2010 in Beeville, Texas. She was born to Apolinar Gonzales and Ramona Garcia Gonzales in Tuleta, Texas on March 16, 1917. She married Epifanio Flores, and they made their home and raised their family in Beeville. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and a member of Woodsman of the World. She was a loving a caring person and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Apolinar and Ramona Gonzales; her husband, Epifanio Flores; daughter, Elida Flores Cuellar; a son, Santos Flores; daughter, Erlinda Trevino; and a son, Roberto Flores.

Julia is survived by her loving family: a son, Rey Flores (Adela) of Beeville; a daughter, Elizabeth Franco and her husband Eddie of Beeville; grandchildren, Ricky Flores, Raul Flores and Rafael Flores, all of Beeville, Roy Flores of San Antonio, Joe Frank Cuellar of Austin, Jenny Cuellar of Round Rock, David Cuellar of Bastrop, Mary Ann Schaal of Millington, Tennessee, Judy Sheldon of Wynn, Arkansas, Gracie Ramon and Rebeca Martinez, both of Beeville, Roberto Flores, Jr. of George West, Ruben Flores, Ramon Flores, Sonny Trevino and Margie Posada, all of Beeville, and Rita Flores of Kansas. She was also blessed with 41 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren and a son-in-law, Aurelio Trevino.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. A rosary was recited on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the same location. A funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Eddie Garcia officiating. Interment followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Serving as pallbearers were Leroy Martinez, Ramon Flores, Roberto Javier Flores, Robert Martinez, Ernie Gonzales, Jr. and Aurelio Trevino.

My condolences to Liz an all the family Mrs. Flores was one of the lucky mothers to be loved and cared for by her family and they will always have her in their hearts and memories. May she rest in peace.
