Community Chorus in concert for holidays

The Beeville Community Chorus will present its annual Christmas Concert at the Mission Espiritu Santo De Zuniga located in Goliad State Park.

The concert will begin on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. There is a $3 per person entrance fee to the state park. The choir will open the concert with several sacred anthems directed by Jeff Brewer, the assistant director of the choir, and then will tell the story of Christmas in song, ending the concert with a medley of favorite Christmas carols and songs.

The choir also will present a concert on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gertrude R. Jones Fine Arts Auditorium.

Admission to the concert is $5 for all adults and $3 for students and children. Patrons will be admitted free by showing their 2010-2011 patron season card.

Nona Schrop will be the accompanist of the choir, and Dr. James Lee is the artistic director.
