Home tour returns to Rockport-Fulton for the Christmas holidays

The Aransas County Historical Society and Fulton Mansion will present the fourth annual “Hats Off to History” Christmas Historic Homes Tour on Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec.11.

Advance tickets are currently on sale at the Chamber of Commerce and Fulton Mansion at $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 12. Tickets bought at the door of each home will be $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The ticket price includes touring six private, historic homes, Fulton Mansion and refreshments at one of the homes on the tour. Tour proceeds will benefit the Historic Gardens and Landscaping Project at The Fulton Mansion.

Friday, Dec. 10, tours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, tours will be from 12 to 5 p.m. Ticket holders also may tour the Fulton Mansion, decked in its yuletide finery, any time during the Saturday tours. In each of the homes, friendly tour guides in vintage costumes will greet and share their knowledge of the home’s history. The “Hats Off to History” Homes Tour will provide locals and tourists alike with the opportunity to step into historic Rockport-Fulton dressed in its Christmas finest.

The homes tour will wrap up with Caroling at the Mansion Saturday evening from 6:30-8 o’clock.

The Aransas County Historical Society is dedicated to protecting and preserving Aransas County’s historic resources. The society promotes an appreciation of Aransas history through special programs and events. 

Located on picturesque Fulton Beach Road, the Fulton Mansion State Historic Site is a rare Victorian-era gem. Tours of the Fulton Mansion occur promptly on the hour, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. Regular admission is $6 for adults and $2 for students. Children age 5 and under are free.
