Mr. Joel Francis Sidonio passed away on December 1, 2010 at the age of 27. Joel was born on February 10, 1983 in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Joel graduated from A.C. Jones High School and received his associate diploma from the radiology department out of Coastal Bend College, he also worked for Burger King, TDCJ Garza East Trusty Camp, and Stripes and was employed with the South Texas Regional Medical Center in Jourdanton, Texas; he was also a member of the United States Army Reserves in the 288 QMCO squad out of Victoria, Texas.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbi A. Bennett of Lake City, Texas; his father, John F. Sidonio Jr. of Midland City, Alabama; one brother, Noah F. Sidonio of Ft. Campbell, KY.; two daughters, Alisha B. Sidonio and Addison C. Sidonio, both of Beeville, Texas; his fiancé, Samantha Stehling of Yorktown, Texas; his maternal grandfather; Harold E. Bennett of Holdenville, Oklahoma.; his paternal grandparent, Arelene L. Sidonio of Boston, MA.; and John F. Sidonio Sr. of Dothan, Al.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Shigeko J. Bennett.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service held that evening at 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Chaplain Steyers officiating. Pallbearers were Kyle Whithorn, Noah F. Sidonio, John F. Sidonio Jr., Sonny Halsey, Anita Halsey and Marie-Elena Carroll. Honorary pallbearers were members of the 288 QMCO.

I am so sorry this fine gentleman passed away. He graduated with my daughter. My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace and may the Lord console all the ones that loved him. May they never give up on the Lord.
