Rocky Glenn Kopplin of Three Rivers, Texas died on December 8, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas. He was 54. He was born on July 29, 1956, to Hilbert H. Kopplin and Barbara Wolff Kopplin in Three Rivers, Texas. He was baptized at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Ray Point, Texas, on October 14, 1956. He was confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, Texas. He married Belinda Coleman on December 29, 1990, in Three Rivers, Texas. He was the Transportation Director for the Three Rivers Independent School District.

He was a former member of the Three Rivers Independent School District School Board, a former constable of Live Oak County, a former gold star member of Three Rivers 4-H Club, past member and officer of the Three Rivers FFA, and he was named a Star Greenhand farmer; he was also a member of the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation and the Texas Law Enforcement Association. He had served as a Director of El Oso Water Board. He was also an active member of the Ray Point Community Center and had served in various offices. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Kopplin of Three Rivers, Texas; one daughter, Miranda Lindsley and husband Brad of Three Rivers,Texas; two sons, Micah Wilbur and Hilbert Jack Hayden Kopplin, both of Three Rivers, Texas; and one grandchild, Kyla Belle Lindsley of Three Rivers, Texas. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Wolff Kopplin of Three Rivers,Texas; two brothers, Randy Kopplin and wife, Tammy, of Three Rivers, Texas and Warren Kopplin and wife, Haley, of Orange Grove, Texas; six sisters, Donna Mills and husband Glen, Cheryl Liska and husband Albert, Audrey Kopplin, and Tracy Favor and husband Dustin, all of Three Rivers, Texas, Nancy Lee and husband Richard of George West, Texas, and Crystal Desselle and husband Jason of Floresville, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Richard Coleman and wife Jenifer of Dekalb, Texas and Chris Coleman of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Jackie Buckley and husband Jeff of Texarkana, Arkansas. Mr. Kopplin is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Deanna Hughes, Julie Walker, Brandon Mills, James Liska, Brady Lee, Jordan Liska, Holly Kopplin, Reagan Kopplin, Bryce Favor, Sadie Desselle, Kyndal and Taten Kopplin, Julia, Jack, Ana, Bailey and Jake Coleman, Jay and Jennifer Wren. He is also survived by great-nieces, and great-nephews, Keller, Kooper, and Kolter Hughes, Cody and Riley Mills, Dannika and Bayleigh Walker, Heidi Liska, Jenna and Ella Lee and Corey Coburn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hilbert H. Kopplin in April 2002.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010, at the Three Rivers School Student Activity Center in Three Rivers, Texas from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, Texas. Burial will follow at Ray Point Cemetery in Ray Point, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Mark Weber, Gilbert Ruiz, Bobby Pena, Brian Terry, Johnny Retzloff, Rocky Custer, Brandon Mills, James Liska, Brady Lee, Jordan Liska. Honorary pallbearers will be all nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and all of the Three Rivers School students.
