Mrs. Herminia C. “Minnie” Deleon passed away on December 13, 2010 ,at the age of 76. She was born on October 25, 1934, at the Wade Ranch in Sandia, Texas, to the late Faustino Chapa and Romana Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Lopez; and two brothers, Faustino Chapa Jr. and Alfredo Chapa.

Minnie was retired from the Meridian Nursing Home after 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, friends and her precious family. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, watching her Novellas, the Dallas Cowboy and all sports. She will be missed so much by all.

She is survived by her two sons, Martin “Ringo” (Norma) Deleon of Corpus Christ, Texas, and Jamie Deleon of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Hilario (Mercedes) Chapa of Beeville, Texas; one sister, Regina Barrera of San Antonio, Texas; one son-in-law, Onie Lopez Jr.; seven grandchildren, Onie (Kathi) Lopez, Greg Lopez, Valerie (Robert) Soliz, Michael Deleon and Alexa Ornelas, Rebecca Deleon and Mia De Leon; and four great-grandchildren, Debbie Jada Lopez, Onie Lopez, Kurt Lopez and Kennedy Lopez.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 16, 2010, from 3:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel.

Rosary was recited on Friday, December 17, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service was conducted on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Salvador Rincon officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers will be her special friends, Lupita Vasquez, Margaret Garcia, Mercedes Chapa, Marica Elizalde, Lupita Valdez, Janie Vasquez, Debbie Adamez, and Minnie Del Bosquez.

And her special sons: Kenneth Jefferson, Eloy Estrada, Richard Sauceda, Jamie Trevino, Mike Delgado, Nick Narvaez, Raul Villarreal and the Late Pete Segovia Jr.
