Frank Dean Carriger passed away December 23, 2010. He was born September 3, 1931, in Coleman, Texas to Walter G. and Zelma Hale Carriger. He started working as an oilfield trucker but spent most of his life farming and ranching in South Texas. Mr. Carriger was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He was past President of Bee County Farm Bureau, and a lay minister for the Church of Christ. He enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing, but loved to watch his children and grandchildren participate in sports. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Carriger is survived by his wife, Grace Frels Carriger-Skidmore; 1 daughter, Deana Lynn (Mark) Sugarek-Beeville and 1 son, Bill J. (Nancy) Carriger-Skidmore. 6 grandchildren; Catherine Grace Carriger, Jim S. (Gina) Sugarek, John H. (Morgan) Carriger, Ellen E. Sugarek, William J. (Amanda) Carriger and Thomas Dean (Regan) Carriger. Also 5 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation with the family present was held Monday, December 27, 2010, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Cox officiating. Interment followed in Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
