The exhibit, which will remain on display through Sunday, April 3, explores the life and career of artist Alexandre Hogue (1898-1994), and consists of 157 oil paintings, drawings and field sketches on loan from collectors, institutions and museums throughout the nation.
The exhibition was organized by the Art Museum of South Texas and will travel to other Texas museums. Lectures and other educational programming are planned during the exhibition.
The Art Museum of South Texas is affiliated with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The museum is closed Monday and holidays.
Admission is $6 for adults; $4 for seniors (60 and older); $4 for active military; $2 for students (12 and older); free to children younger than 12 and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi students with a SandDollars ID.
