BALL (Be Active, Live Longer) members were treated to a special and beneficial nutritional program recently presented by Robert Moore, pharmacist and owner of Moore’s City Drug.

Moore has studied intensely the benefits of healthy eating and gave many beneficial tips, such as if one can only afford two food supplements, it should be Vitamin D-3 and Omega 3 Fatty Acid. For improved health, he couldn’t stress enough the importance of “water,” preferably filtered. How much? One’s body weight, divided by two, equals the ounces of water a person should consume everyday. The body is composed of 83% water. Most people are not hydrated. Also “sugar” is a villain. Cancer feeds on sugar.

Join BALL next month, on Friday, Feb. 4, when Marlo Sandoval, Wesley nurse, and friend will present a program on balance. “Come, bring your favorite covered dish and a friend,” Shirley Kibler said.
